Many of the architectural pieces were standing before you were born and probably will remain there long after you. No matter how high and awesome these buildings may appear, remember it all began with the simple post-and-lintel construction. In order to create their masterpieces, architects use their mathematical and engineering knowledge, their artistic talent, and, probably most importantly, their imaginations.
