Risk Factors for Breast Cancer

• Family history(less than 7% of breast cancers are thought to be hereditary

• Long menstrual cycles or early menarche

• Late menopause

• First pregnancy after age 30

• Higher education or socioeconomic class

• Stress

• Obesity

• Living in Northern U.S.

• History of colon or other female cancers
